August in Brooklyn

Chris got to attend the Hillsong Conference this summer in Brooklyn... so obviously I tagged along for the ride. We stayed at this adorable airbnb in Boerum Hill. When we weren’t attending the conference we spent most of our time biking through Brooklyn. We saw friends, drank wine, and ate some amazing food. I’ve made another list of all the spots in these photos. ENJOY!

Like I’ve already said… this airbnb was awesome. 10/10 would recommend it to anyone visiting.

Per usual we picked up a few bottles of wine at Henry’s in Bushwick.

Chris got really into pie a few years ago, so we had to stop at Four & Twenty Blackbirds. It was amazing.

I think every trip Chris and I have taken to Brooklyn, we’ve spent hours at Maison Premiere. The vibe and cocktails are perfect.

We didn’t go into Manhattan too much this trip, but had to swing by Ten Bells for some wine. Their “by the glass” list is incredible.

After watching Ugly Delicious on Netflix we knew we needed to check out Lucali. We arrive around 3pm and the line had already started! I will say it was worth the wait… plush Jay Z and Beyoncé had been the night before. So you know it’s gotta be good.

One of conference days we had a two hour lunch break… so we hopped on the subway and headed straight for Café Altro Paradiso. It turned into a two hour lunch… we ordered so much food and had more Campari Spritz then I knew what to do with. I’d say it was one of the best lunches I’ve ever had.

Last food place to mention… METTA. It was amazing. I don’t think we took a single photo there, but it was unreal. Everything is cooked over fire. 🔥

The Ferry :) Stopped just a few steps from the Wythe Hotel, and took us all the way to Dumbo. Loved traveling this way.

Brooklyn Heights Promenade: Just a great walk, along the water

DeMaria: rip, closed recently - but had super creative, light, vegetable dishes that were just what we needed after late night pizza :)

Irving Bottle: in Brooklyn, very beautiful wine shop, would recommend

Maison Premiere: ‘cause, always. and the patio stays open in the warmer months, so… it’s a daytime activity!

Citi Bike: “Unlock a bike. Unlock New York” That’s what they say, and yes it’s true.

Via Carota: One of our most favorite lunches (overall meals) ever. Long, beautiful, relaxing. I’ve never seen Chris so happy eating food. He’s dreamed of their cacio e pepe ever since.

Marlow + Sons, and Diner: These places just feel sooo good.
